When we reached out to Brianna and asked if she would share a message with younger readers, she immediately said yes. With her characteristic wisdom and warmth, she offered the following words of encouragement, written especially for you.
You already know the right thing to do, the journey is having the courage to do it. When you're overthinking, you're going against your instinct. You're never too young or too old to do something meaningful with your life. Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do. The little things will add up and become the big things, eventually. Make choices for the long-term. Consider what your future self would want, at almost every chance you can. Don't get too caught up on getting it "together" that you forget to live your life. The ways in which you are different, or where your story has not conformed to those around you, are the same places where your leverage is strongest. Don't peak too soon. Don't count yourself out. Don't reject yourself first. Be willing to learn, be willing to grow, be willing to go alone, be willing to do what you know in your heart is right even if others don't understand it. There are things out there so good, you wouldn't know to ask for them. Go find them.
